Noah's Life

Noah’s greatest joys were his family, friends, sports and most recently attending University. He grew up in the tight knit communities of Truro and Bedford, Nova Scotia. His family life and these communities shaped his early years and enabled him to thrive and become a happy and caring young adult.

Noah was blessed with an infectious personality, natural talents and strong character that allowed him to form special lifelong bonds with those who had the pleasure of sharing even a portion of their lives with him. He had an uncanny ability to put people at ease, brighten up any room or situation. He loved coming home or going to friends’ placesfor meals and would typically announce his arrival by three loud whistles or shouting 'daddy's home'.

Sports played an important role in Noah’s life, playing hockey, baseball, football, tennis and golf. Hockey was his passion and he left home at age 15 for school and to play on teams in Massachusetts, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Diverse life experiences through travel and sports enabled him to develop important life skills and make so many new and beloved lifelong friends.

Noah was thrilled and proud to be studying at Dalhousie University where he was entering his second year in the Bachelor of Commerce program. His studies benefitted greatly from the encouragement of his girlfriend Emily, many close friends and classmates. Noah was thriving and living his best life in his final days.

Noah is survived by his parents, Hugh Andrew and Melanie (Baumgardner), twin sister Grace, older sister Rachel, and younger brother Hudson. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, and is survived by his grandparents Elizabeth and David Latimer, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

We are humbled and grateful for all those who helped guide Noah on his journey and for the outpouring of compassion, love, and support from the community, particularly from Noah's friends and their families. Noah has departed much too soon and will be greatly missed by those who love him and the many people he touched throughout his life.
