1. Introduction
Welcome to the Noah Latimer Scholarship Foundation (the "Foundation"). By engaging with our website and participating in our programs, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms govern the Foundation's activities, including donations, scholarship eligibility, and the use of our website. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing or using our services.

2. Eligibility for Scholarships
Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for consideration:

Be born in one of the four Atlantic Canadian provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador).

Be between the ages of 16 and 22.

Demonstrate financial need.

Exhibit values that Noah Latimer embodied, such as a positive attitude, respect, hard work, and humility.

Be enrolled in one of the following programs:

Varsity Hockey at Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS)
-
The Mount Academy (North Rustico, PEI)
-
The Northeast Generals U18 Program (Marlborough, MA, USA)

Scholarships will be awarded annually, and successful applicants will receive financial assistance to support their academic and athletic pursuits.

3. Application Process
To apply for a scholarship, eligible candidates must complete the scholarship application form available on our website. This includes providing personal information, submitting an essay, and outlining financial need. The essay prompt will require applicants to share their academic and athletic goals, experiences of overcoming failure, and how they embody the values of Noah Latimer.
Applications must be submitted by the deadline specified on our website, and late submissions may not be considered.

4. Selection Criteria
The selection of scholarship recipients is at the sole discretion of the Foundation's Board of Directors. Applications will be assessed based on:

The applicant's adherence to the eligibility criteria.

Their demonstration of Noah’s core values.

Financial need.

The quality of their essay and answers provided in the application. The decision of the Board is final, and no appeal or reconsideration requests will be accepted.

5. Use of Funds
Scholarship funds awarded to recipients must be used for academic and athletic-related expenses, including but not limited to:

Tuition fees

Athletic training costs

Equipment or resources necessary for academic or athletic success Scholarship funds cannot be used for unrelated personal expenses, and misuse of funds may result in termination of the scholarship and/or repayment of awarded funds.

6. Privacy and Data Collection
The Foundation respects the privacy of all applicants and donors. Personal information collected through the application process or during donations will be handled in accordance with Canadian privacy laws. Information will only be used for the purposes of administering the scholarship and processing donations. We will not share personal data with third parties unless required by law.

7. No Refunds Policy
All donations made to the Noah Latimer Scholarship Foundation are final and non-refundable. Under Canadian tax law, charitable donations are considered irrevocable gifts. Once a donation has been made and an official Charitable Donation Receipt has been issued, refunds cannot be provided.
In compliance with guidelines from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), donations will be retained by the Foundation to further its charitable objectives, which include funding scholarships for eligible student-athletes. Donors will receive an official receipt via email, which can be used for tax deduction purposes.

8. Donations and Receipts
The Foundation is a registered charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). All donations made to the Foundation are tax-deductible, and donors will receive an official Charitable Donation Receipt via email immediately after the donation is processed.
Donation receipts will include all required information, such as the Foundation’s name, the CRA website address (canada.ca/charities-giving), and the donation amount.

9. Amendments to Terms
The Foundation reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of visitors, applicants, and donors to review the terms regularly to ensure compliance. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through notices on our website.
